TOLEDO — More than 20 Northwest Ohio breweries are scheduled to participate in the fifth annual Toledo Beer & Bacon Fest June 15 at the Hungarian Club of Toledo.

Participating breweries will include Black Cloister, Black Frog, Earnest Brew Works, Great Black Swamp, Maumee Bay and Patron Saints, all from Toledo; Bowling Green Beer Works, Bowling Green; Flatrock Brewing, Napoleon; Wild Side, Grand Rapids; Upside Brewing, Sylvania; Twin Oast, Port Clinton/Catawba Island; Inside the 5, Sylvania; Drop Tine, Montpelier; Two Bandits, Hicksville; Findlay Brewing, Findlay; The UrbanWoody, Fostoria; and Lake Rat, Celina.

Some of the breweries are making special “one-off” beers for the event, centered on bacon, according to organizers.

In addition to craft beer, the event will feature bacon-inspired food, such as Hunky Turkey, Birmingham Hot Dogs and Bacon Rice Krispies, along with bacon-inspired pizzas — and vegan options — from Rosie’s Rolling Chef food truck.

This year’s event also will feature a “Cigar-den” for smoking, along with indoor and outdoor seating. Music will be provided by Katie’s Randy Cat.
