Jan. 30, 2019 — Ohio State fans have a new reason to continue celebrating the Buckeyes’ 2019 Super Bowl win over the Washington Huskies. Mano’s Wine and The Ohio State University have partnered to release a series of limited-edition wines to commemorate the victory.
According to Kansas City, Mo.-based Mano’s, the winery’s Handcrafted Reserve is a blend of Central Coast cabernet sauvignon and Monterey merlot that has been aged for 15 months in a combination of French and American Oak barrels. The wine is presented in a deep-etched and hand-painted bottle with the Ohio State Block O prominent in the center. The dark-hued bottle has the words “2019 Rose Bowl Game Champions” above the logo and “Pasadena, CA 1.1.2019” below. The game’s final score is shown just under the Block O.
The winery also offers a metallic gold-colored “bubbly” and an aptly-chosen rosé wine with the Ohio State and Rose Bowl emblems front and center. The three wines are part of Mano’s Championship Collection.
Describing itself as an urban winery, Mano’s features “an esteemed collection of wine makers who have been carefully selected from the best vineyards from around the world.” The wines are blended, aged and finished at the Missouri headquarters where it is bottled in specially-designed, handcrafted bottles.
